Opening hours

NL Patent Office is open on workdays from 9.00 am to 5.30 pm for the following services.
  • Filing a patent application
  • Filing a deed
  • Payment of fees
  • Giving notice of seizure
If you have any queries regarding intellectual property rights, you can telephone the public information office on workdays between 9.00 am and 5.30 pm on +31 88 602 60 00. Making an appointment to obtain patent information (only for Dutch entrepeneurs)
You are welcome to make an appointment on any work day to obtain general information regarding patents, such as the patent granting process, the costs involved in obtaining a patent or patent protection in the Netherlands and in other countries. You may use our computers to search patent literature, but you can also do this using your own laptop via wireless internet. To make an appointment, please contact our public information office, by telephoning +31 88 602 60 00.

Exceptions
NL Patent Office is closed on national public holidays and on a number of other days. This includes the following days during 2010:
  • Friday, January 1 (New Year's Day)
  • Monday, April 5 (Easter Monday)
  • Friday, April 30 (Queen's Day)
  • Wednesday, May 5 (National Liberation Day)
  • Thursday, May 13 (Ascension Day)
  • Friday, May 14 (non-working day)
  • Monday, May 24 (Whit Monday)
