How do I apply for a patent?

You can send a patent application by post (or by fax - please send the hard copy afterwards by post!) to NL Patent Office or you may hand in the application to NL Patent Office in person. You may also file your application electronically.

The fee for filing an application by fax or by post is 120 euro, and it costs 80 euro to file your application online.

A patent application must also fulfil a number of formal requirements.
