How can I validate my European patent in the Netherlands?

If you wish to validate your European patent in the Netherlands, you must file a Dutch or English translation of your patent application with the patent registration cluster of NL Patent Office.

If the language of proceedings within the European patent procedure is English, a description of the application in English will already be available and you only need to translate the claims into Dutch and file these. These claims in the Dutch language must be filed within three months following the date on which the European patent was granted.

Your patent is then in force in the Netherlands from the date on which the European patent was granted.

A fee of 25 euro applies for this validation.
