Since 1996 you can register your trademark for the enitre territory of the European Union via the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM) in Alicante, Spain. European law is applicable to this type of trademark and gives you strong, exclusive rights for the entire European market.

Costs
Your Community trademark will last for ten years and can be extended indefinitely. Registering a Community trademark will cost you 1,600 euros, costs of a trademark attorney excluded. It will cost you more money when registering for all countries of the European Union separately.
