A patent licence is an agreement between the patent holder and the licensee. A number of requirements apply to registering a licence in the Dutch patent register.Requirements registration Dutch patent register

You must submit the original document or a copy that has been certified by a civil-law notary.

You must clearly state the name and address details of the patent holder.

You must state the patent right(s).
Registration of a licence in the register costs 27 euro per patent number. You can transfer this sum to the bank account of NL Patent Office.
Termination of a licence
If the licence is terminated, please inform us of this change.

This must be in the form of a notification from the patent holder or his/her patent attorney.

The patent number must be stated.
Registration of the termination of a licence in the register costs 27 euro per patent number. A deed is only registered once all requirements have been fulfilled and the costs associated with the registration have been transferred to the bank account of NL Patent Office.

Any amendment that is registered by means of a deed is entered in the patent register with retroactive effect.
