Document supply service

One of the other products offered by NL Patent Office is the document supply service.

You can request copies of patent publications by sending an e-mail to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Examples of patent publications include:

• Translations of patents
• Patent documents from other countries
• Supplementary protection certificates
• Magazine articles

Your request
When requesting documents, you must provide complete publication numbers, consisting of the country code, number and kind code, for example, EP 123456 A2. In your request, you can state how you wish to receive the requested publication, either by fax, post or e-mail.

If the publication is available in our collection, the item can be delivered within three working days (for delivery within the Netherlands). If the publication has to be retrieved from the archive, the item can be delivered within four working days within the Netherlands. Delivery to other countries may take longer. Please provide details of your name, address and town/city to enable us to deal with your request.

Costs
There is a charge for the document supply service of 5 euro per document, if you belong to one of the target groups of NL Patent Office. These target groups (in the Netherlands only) are: small and medium-sized companies (particularly innovative SMEs), the knowledge infrastructure (universities, institutions of higher vocational education and technological institutions), private inventors and the government itself.

If you do not belong to one of these target groups, there is a charge of 18 euro per document.
